Where YOU Can Show Off Your Lyrics & Songs!
- Home Page -
Many years ago I attended a songwriters workshop meeting at the art college in Kansas City where each person attending would bring a creation for peer review every month. I was amazed at the high quality of workmanship that some of these everyday people were producing. Some of the lyrics were brilliant. This is why I am providing a music area within Grandfather's Family Bible, an online version of the workshop, for the average citizen songwriter and lyricist to share their creation!
Sound recordings need to be uploaded perhaps to SoundClick.com, or to another repository. Do NOT upload your sound file to my email inbox! Put it online somewhere where you can link to it, and include the url link along with your post. Feel free to send good poetry without any tune at all, if it is good material that could be turned into a song by someone else. You are encouraged to collaborate.
The qualification I absolutely insist upon is that all material submitted be truly Worshipful Music! No country music crybaby love-another-guys-wife songs, heavy metal garbage, or other non-Christian secular filth allowed! This forum is strictly for honoring God.
Just Look Up! ![]()
by Robert K. Lewis
Spoken Prelude:
Jesus Christ!
Son of God!
Savior!
Verse 1:
As we trudge thru our lives filled with worry,
As we race against time like the wind,
As we stoop down to shoulder our burden,
As we work hard to conquer our sin,
Chorus:
Just look up!
And we may see Christ coming!
Just look up!
For He may come today!
And with all the hosts of the heavens
He may come to take us away,
Today!
(Hallelujah!)
He may come to take us away!
Verse 2:
As we squirm from the clutches of Satan,
As we run to the sure grasp of God,
As we trust in the power of Jesus,
As we pray that our trials won't be long,
(Chorus)
Verse 3:
As we struggle to help the afflicted,
As we strive that all souls might be saved,
As we weep for the loss of our martyr's.
As we ache for loved one's gone away,
(Chorus)
Verse 4:
As we toil to fathom His wisdom,
As we bow down our heads with respect,
As we look for our King of Salvation,
As we realize we truly are blest,
(Ending Chorus)
Ending Chorus:
Just look up!
And we may see Christ coming!
Just look up!
For He may come today!
And with all the hosts of the heavens
He may come to take us away,
Today!
(Hallelujah!)
He may come to take us today!
